Walker Art Center :: Art and Architecture Tour

Internationally recognized as a leading arts venue, the Walker Art Center presents contemporary visual arts and design exhibitions; dance, theater, and music performances; and film screenings. In addition to long-term installations of the Walker Art Center’s collections, the galleries host a cutting-edge selection of exhibitions by emerging and established artists, group shows, and historical retrospectives.

The iconic Spoon Bridge and Cherry is just the beginning of the Walker Art Center’s modern and contemporary art collection in its urban park setting. You might explore two new works in the Garden: Okciyapi (2021), a commission by artist Angela Two Stars, and Adam and Eve (2021) by Simone Fattal. Or contemplate the more than 40 outdoor sculptures by international artists from 10 countries.

The tour bus leaves from the Chatfield Center for the Arts parking lot at 9:30 am and from the Best Buy parking lot in Rochester at 10:30am. Participation fee: $18. Students and seniors (65+) may attend for free. Seats are limited, registration is required.
